Ding Dong. Kate looks up at the clock and sees that it's six o'clock. "I'll get it mom!" Kate runs down stairs and opens the front door; Kayla is standing outside. "Hey Kay! Come on in." Kayla walks in and takes her coat off. "Hey mom!" Kate makes a face at Kayla, "What she's basically like a mom to me! So where do you want to go talk?" Kate points to her room. They walk up the stairs and into her room. "Okay so do you want the summary or the whole story? I'm betting the whole story." Kate said and Kayla responded. "The whole story duh!! Start from the beginning." Kayla plops down on Kate's bed, Kate sits down on the end of the bed and takes a deep breath. "Okay here goes. Jake told me he likes me, and then Ian tells me he likes me. I run off, and when I get home I see there is a note from Jake; he tells me he wants to be friends if we can’t be boyfriend and girlfriend. So I go down to the park and I find them fighting over who gets to date me! I don’t even want to date either one of them!! So I tell them I never want to talk to them ever again. When I get home I try to do something that will get what happened off my mind. Jake climbs thru my window and try’s to tell me that he was serious about his note but his eyes didn’t say the same thing. So I kicked him out. And then today I fell off of the ladder and Ian caught me; I got this weird feeling when he was holding me and then they were trying to take care of me and I’m just really confused right now and I could use some advice." Kayla looks at Kate, "Wow. All I can say right now, is I think you did the right thing but you don’t seem so sure that you did. Do you like either of them? Think before you answer that!" Kate thinks for a minute and looks up. "I'm not sure, when I saw them fighting I thought I didn’t like either but then Jake came trying to apologize and then Ian caught me... I don’t know Kayla! I don’t want to like them but I think I might!" Kate starts to cry in frustration and Kayla get a box of tissue and comforts her.

Thirty minutes later Kayla goes home. “Thanks for coming again Kay! It helped me a good bit!” Kate says at the door, “Any time twin! Isn’t that what bffl’s are for?” Kayla walks to her car and drives away. Kate goes up to her room and collapses on her bed. “What happened to us??” she yells into her pillow and lays there for a bit. “Kate dinner time!! Mom says your not skipping this meal!” Jamie says outside her door; Kate rolls her eyes and gets up. “Okay I’ll be there in a minute.” Kate goes into the bathroom and splashes water on her face and looks at herself in the mirror. I guess I should just hope that they don’t realize the puffy eyes and all. . . fun. Kate goes to downstairs. “Hey mom. Sorry I’ve been not here all that much.” Kate’s mom looks up and smiles, “Well as long as you make it to one meal I’ll be happy. Remember if you every want to talk just tell me.” Kate and Jamie roll they’re eyes and Jamie says “Mom that is never going to happen!” Kate’s mom puts the food down in front of them “Fine if that’s what you want. But you really should remember and use it wisely.” They sat down and at dinner.
